Charles Wolfe

Who am I?

I am a curious mind who is eager to further my studies of the human brain, though I have a passion for learning in general. I am a persistent individual and am always looking to challenge/improve myself.

In my first year of ISM, I studied neuroradiology. My studies during that year helped me confirm my passion for studying the neurosciences, but also inevitably lead me into the realm of technology. As I researched the frontier of medicine, I quickly became fascinated with machine learning and data science in general. Having familiarized myself with how to use AI to analyze sets of data, I quickly began to realize the importance of protecting data. Thus, this year, I'd like to refine my logical reasoning, programming, and problem solving skills through my own independent study of "offensive cybersecurity". Or hacking. Whatever you want to call it.

Mission Statement

This year in the Independent Study & Mentorship program, I will refine my networking and people skills, thoroughly explore what it means to be an ethical hacker, and gain further insight into what I truly want to dedicate myself to in the future. Through rigorous research, critical thinking, intellectual honesty, and efficient use of my time with my mentor, I will succeed in doing all of this. In a culmination of these efforts, I also hope to produce an inspired final product that I can be proud of.
