Gonna Need More Ideas

Running sqlmap in my very basic installation of Kali Linux, a custom Linux OS purposed for aiding cybersecurity professionals.

Pictured above is a program named "sqlmap", a penetration testing tool that does exactly what I proposed in my Original Work and more. I wish I hadn't neglected to install Kali Linux on my VirtualBox machine until now, because then I would have found out about the existence of this program sooner. Anyways, in light of this new information, I need to come up with a new idea for my original work. At the moment, I have no good ideas. I'm meeting with a potential mentor tomorrow, however, so I'm hoping that I can brainstorm with him and finally start my mentorship. If possible, I'd like to make something genuinely useful for penetration testing or to cybersecurity professionals in general. A glorified research paper isn't what I'm aiming for here.

In other news, I've finally finished the Bandit minigame. I feel that I have at least intermediate-level experience with Linux at this point, which is great. With this, I can start setting up my own labs using Kali Linux and playing around with a bunch of different tools. With the right guidance, I think that I can really refine my pentesting skills and perhaps even come up with some great ideas for my original work or, at the very least, my final product. We'll see how it goes from here.
