Showcase and Beyond

The research showcase is in two days. Although I have everything that is required ready for the event, I still feel as though it's not enough. On an entire football field full of hundreds of ISM students' display boards, how will mine stand out? I've given it some thought, and I've decided that interactivity is key. I don't have a miniature wind tunnel to test my prototype aircraft design or a (neuro)cybernetics invention to show off. What I have is my laptop, and I can think of a few ways to utilize it to its fullest ability. I want to give my audience a way to experience the pentester's thinking process and the satisfaction when you are able to "crack" a system. Perhaps I could take an existing CTF and set it up on my Kali Linux VM. The problem of Wi-Fi would then arise, however. I know for a fact that I can't rely on the spotty Internet at the Star, especially knowing that it will be so crowded. I should therefore migrate whatever CTF I choose to display to an internal network on my computer. Of course, I'll include a "cheat-sheet" of sorts for those who actually try to play the CTF. I can't expect everyone to have even basic knowledge of SSH and the Linux command line, after all.
